Ramshorn snails are considered minor aquarium pests. This is mostly because they reproduce very quickly if enough food is available. They are extremely useful as cleanup crews for baby betta tanks. They will happily eat excess fish food, dead live food, algae and the occasional dead fry which keeps tank pollution to a minimum. Snail poop is much easier to siphon out than tiny bits of food as well.
